This page is maintained by AgroForth to explain what data we collect, why, and the controls you have. It is written to align with Nigeria's NDPR.
You own your farm data
Yield, satellite, photos and finance records belong to you. Export or delete them any time from settings.
Encrypted in transit and at rest
All requests use TLS 1.2+. Data and media are stored encrypted in our managed backend.
Row-level isolation
Database-level security policies ensure one account can never read another farmer's records.
Hosted close to home
We use globally distributed infrastructure with edge endpoints serving West Africa.
1. Who we are
AgroForth ("we", "us") provides AI, satellite, finance and marketplace tools to farmers, cooperatives, agribusinesses and partner institutions, primarily in Nigeria.
2. What we collect
Account data: name, phone, email, language preference and role (farmer, cooperative, agribusiness, NGO, government, financial).
Farm data: farm name, location (coordinates you provide), crop type, hectarage, photos and audio you upload to Crop Doctor, Animal Doctor and Satellite reports.
Finance data: income, expense and transaction entries you record in the Finance Manager. We do not access your bank accounts.
Payment data: handled by our payment processor (Paystack). We store only the order reference, status and amount — never card details.
Technical data: device type, app version, IP address and basic usage events to keep the service reliable.
3. How we use it
To run AI diagnoses you request, generate satellite and weather reports, power the marketplace, process payments, prevent fraud, and improve the product. We do not sell your data.
4. AI processing
Photos, audio and text you submit to Crop Doctor, Animal Doctor and the Farm Advisor are sent to our AI providers solely to generate your result. We do not use farmer-uploaded media to train third-party general-purpose models.
5. Sharing
We share data only with: (a) infrastructure and AI providers strictly to deliver the service, (b) Paystack for payment processing, (c) partners you explicitly authorise (e.g. a cooperative or a lender), and (d) regulators when legally required.
6. Retention
Account and farm data is retained while your account is active. You may delete your account at any time; we will remove personal data within 30 days, except records we must keep for legal or accounting reasons.
7. Your rights (NDPR)
You may access, correct, export or delete your personal data, withdraw consent, and lodge a complaint with the Nigeria Data Protection Commission. Contact us to exercise any of these.
8. Children
AgroForth is not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect data from them.
9. Changes
We will update this page when our practices change and notify active users of material changes.
